Fresh flour Sourdough Starter made easy.
Skip the failed attempts, the endless research, and the “will this even work with fresh flour?” doubts. We’ve done the hard part so you can get straight to the joy of baking.
This starter is a dry version of our mature Unsifted® Basic Blend starter that we named Zoe. Zoe is merged with a mature Alaskan culture that’s been thriving for over 35 years. Together, they bring a powerhouse of stable microbes and yeasts- ready to rise to the occasion.
Fed exclusively with freshly milled 100% Unsifted® Basic Blend, this culture has been nurtured with care and then slowly dehydrated so it can travel to your kitchen. That means you can start baking sourdough with confidence, no matter your location.
With this starter, you’re not just making bread- you’re tapping into decades of microbial maturity, clarity, and stability. It’s the shortcut to success, the assurance that your fresh flour sourdough journey begins with a win.
Because feeding your family well shouldn’t start with frustration. It should start with fresh flour simplified for your busy life.

When to Use By:
Ideally within 4 months, but anytime within 18 months of receiving will work. Dehydrated starter is naturally preserved, so it doesn’t “expire” quickly the way active starter does.
But the real key is that it’s best used sooner rather than later for the strongest, fastest activation. Freshly dehydrated cultures wake up more quickly and predictably.
Over time, they’re still totally viable - they just may take an extra feeding or two to fully revive.
For example, what Happens if you wait?
-
0–6 months: Wakes up beautifully, usually right on schedule.
-
6–12 months: Still great; may take slightly longer to show activity.
-
12–18+ months: Still usable; may need an extra feeding or a bit more patience.
