The Unsifted® Bakers Bundle is designed for customers who already have a grain mill. We highly recommend the WonderMill for exceptional flour texture, low temperature grind for nutrient preservation, speed for convenience, and self contained milling for minimal cleanup.

Unsifted® recipes are tailored to the WonderMill coarseness settings. If you are using another mill, multiply the grain amounts in recipes that call for the “bread” setting by 1.5 to get the total cups fresh flour, and multiply the grain amounts in recipes that call for the “pastry” setting by 1.75 to get the total cups of flour. If you are using the WonderMill, no conversions are needed.

SHELF LIFE & STORAGE

Unsifted® whole grains have a very long shelf life when stored in an airtight, cool, and pest/bug free container.

We recommend baking with unsifted fresh flour the same day you mill it to maximize nutritional benefits. However, fresh flour can be stored in an airtight container as follows:

At room temperature for 3 days
In the fridge for 7 days
In the freezer for 6 months

FRESH FLOUR MAXIMIZES NUTRIENTS

Our diversified Unsifted Blends allow for an enhanced range of nutrients in every bite. Wheat berries alone have 40 of the 44 key essential nutrients for life. Isn't that amazing? However, fresh flour begins oxidizing as soon as it is cut or milled. Several of the precious nutrients begin to oxidize as soon as they are exposed to air. Fresh flour can lose up to 90% of its nutritional value after just three days. We recommend milling flour on an as-needed basis to maximize the nutritional benefit, rather than milling ahead. The baking process locks in the nutrients (vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, etc.), with minimal nutritional loss thereafter.

In addition, whole grains are made to survive – they are even designed to survive your digestive track (think of corn). The tough exterior (the bran) is like a shield for the precious seed. Milling breaks down that protective bran and maximizes the surface area of the grain, therefore maximizing the nutrients your body has access to. The good news, is milling is SO easy!

Love the consistency

I’ve been baking with fresh milled flour since 1999 with great results, honestly, but recently learned about the Unsifted blends so decided to give them a try. I’ve been playing with blending my own varieties of grain for years so adding these blends to my grain stash has been fun. The flavor is incredible and I love having consistent results every time.

I’m loving the recipes and recipe cards. I’m recommending to all my friends! Love the Hawaiian rolls and have made them about 4 times in two weeks and keep giving them away! Just made Simple Sandwich Bread for Hamburger buns and they were the absolute best! So soft and light! Made it into loaves and I’m obsessed! Also met Sarah and Kiera a few weeks ago at a Women’s event and they are so knowledgeable and sweet. Just can’t say enough good about this company. Love how they are aiming to make it simple for anyone to start enjoying the benefits of fresh milled foods!
